Home Feeding Visits for Cats
- For the same price as a cattery, your feline friends can remain in the comfort of their own home and be cared for whilst you are away on business, on holiday or in hospital
- Ensuring your cats are cared for at home is less stressful them whilst you are away than moving them to a strange environment
- There are no cages to restrict your cats and their routine is maintained as closely as possible
- On each visit we will clean out their litter tray, feed them, ensure fresh water is available and if they feel so inclined and will let us, we can spend some time playing together
Whilst many cats may seem very aloof they tend to be homebodies at heart. Cats are typically very territorial and feel most secure in their usual surroundings. As creatures of habit they can feel very stressed when they are moved to an unfamiliar environment such as the veterinary surgery or the local cattery.
For the same price as a cattery, your feline friends can stay in the comfort of their own home, stress free and be cared for whilst you are away on business, on holiday or in hospital.
There will be no unfamiliar sights, smells or sounds. We adhere, as closely as possible, to your cat’s usual routine and we make sure that we always spend time socializing with your feline furbaby. Whether that’s playing chase the laser across the rug or simply spending time snuggling up on the sofa being given little sandpaper kisses. Our aim is to fit in to your shoes as closely as possible.
From a practical perspective, no cat likes to use a dirty litter tray and we ensure that the tray is cleaned on every visit. We also ensure you cats have plenty of fresh water at all times and are fed their usual food.
Visiting on a regular basis allows us to get to know your cats and by visiting on a daily or twice daily basis we can see if they are eating all their food, check their general and if they seem unwell we are able to take them to the vet for further investigations. Unfortunately, due to the nature of catteries one to one attention is difficult if not impossible to achieve and small changes in food consumption and tummy upsets can be easily missed. By having a Hugs & Tails petsitter visit your cat receives all the attention she needs.
